Shepherd’s Purse is a common weed. It is thought to originate from the Middle East. The parts that grow above the ground are used to make medicine. It is also known as shepherd's bag, lady's purse. witches' pouches and pick-pocket, because the plant bears triangular-shaped seed pods that resemble dangling purses.
It is used for nosebleeds, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), abnormally heavy bleeding during menstrual periods (menorrhagia), and other conditions. Alternative medicine practitioners believe these properties can be used to help improve blood circulation, alleviate inflammation, and restore hormonal balance. Shepherd's purse has long been believed to stop bleeding (both external and internal) and aid in wound healing.

Use 2 tsp to 1 cup of water. Bring water to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes. Turn heat off and let sit 10 minutes. Strain and store in fridge.
