Red Lentil Dahl
Ingredients
2 cups red lentils, rinsed 4 times
2 tsp salt
2 tsp turmeric
2 tsp basil or Italian seasoning
4 Tbsp olive oil
½ cup onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp curry powder
½ cumin (optional)
Preparation
Bring red lentils to boil and rinse again. Cover with fresh water and cook on low heat for 15
minutes.Add salt, turmeric, basil or Italian seasoning, olive oil, onlons, garlic, and cumin.
Mix well and serve on toast with rice and vegetables.
Serves 6.
