Oat Burgers
Ingredients
4 ½ cups of water
1/3 cup oil
4 ½ cups of old-fashioned oats
½ cup of liquid coconut aminos
3/4 cup walnuts or sunflower seeds
¼ cup nutritional yeast flakes
¼ cup sesame seeds
1 large nonstick skillet, pan/pot
1 tsp garlic powder
1 diced onion
Preparation
Blend all the ingredients except the oats in about 2 cups of water.
Add to a large nonstick skillet.
Add the rest of water to the blender to get any of left-over blended mix and add to the pan.
Bring to a boil. Add oats and mix until oats are very thick and has absorbed the water, about 5 minutes.
Turn off burner and set aside to cool for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, pre-heat oven to 350°F.
Once mixture is cool enough, form burgers with hands by shaping into a ball and then flattening with hand and place in an oiled baking pan.
Bake on each side for 20 minutes.
