Brown Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ cups water

  • ½ cup raw cashews

  • 6 Tbsp cornstarch 

  • 2 Tbsp yeast flakes

  • 1/3 cup coconut aminos

  • 1 Tbsp onion powder 

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp salt 

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients smooth except the 4 cups of the water, use only the 1/2 cup.

  2. Pour into sauce pan.

  3. Rinse blender with the remaining 4 cups of water. Add to pan.

  4. Lightly boil 1-2 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
