WHERE TO APPLY
We suggest that you choose one location for each application, alternating between your inner thighs, inner arms, stomach and chest, massaging gently until the cream is fully absorbed.
DOSAGE
If you are using a 5ml metric or American teaspoon the amount would then be 1/8th of a teaspoon.
In the protocols when we refer to 1/8th of a teaspoon, we are suggesting the amount that could be measured by filling the teaspoon to level and dividing it into 8 equal parts.
We suggest that you do this once to see how much each amount looks like on your finger tip as a guide as to how much to apply from then on – we are not suggesting you measure each time!
As a general guide to usage, women can expect a jar to last 2-3 months.
WHEN TO USE
MENSTRUAL DISCOMFORT AND PRE MENOPAUSE
Use the cream daily every morning and evening until your period comes. Take a 1 week break during your menstrual cycle even if your cycle is shorter than a week. At the end of the week, begin applying the cream again and repeat this process monthly.
Be aware that you may initially experience heightened symptoms and this is a positive indication that a shift is taking place.
If you experience spotting mid cycle continue with the cream until you experience a full period with normal blood flow.
If you are experiencing intermittent periods with hot flashes / night sweats, we would suggest you follow the Menopause Protocol.
MENOPAUSE
Women who haven’t had a period for several months or years and don’t know when to start using the cream, may start at any time.
Use the cream daily every morning and evening for 3 consecutive weeks. At the end of the 3 weeks take a 1 week break. At the end of the week, begin applying the cream again and repeat this process monthly.
There are two reasons why taking a 7 day break is suggested even though menstruation may no longer be happening.
The first is that when women bleed during periods they don’t produce progesterone and three estrogens. Therefore, the body is used to producing these hormones cyclically.
The second reason is that if the cream is used continually without a break, the body can become too used to the nutrients and become inefficient working with them over time.
Be aware that you may initially experience heightened symptoms and this is a positive indication that a shift is taking place.
PERSISTENT HOT FLASHES
Menopausal symptoms should decrease in both intensity and frequency, disappearing by the third month if the above protocol is closely followed.
If at any time during this period hot flashes or night sweats cause undue discomfort, it may help ease your discomfort if a small amount of cream is massaged into your wrists every 15 minutes until the discomfort passes.
If hot flashes or night sweats continue, it may mean that insufficient cream is being used, or used irregularly.
ALLERGIES
If you experience an allergic reaction, you may avoid sensitivity by applying the cream to the palms of your hands and soles of your feet. Experience suggests that after 2 to 3 months of using it in this fashion, you may again be able to use the cream sparingly on your arms and thighs to achieve good allergy free results.
If you follow the appropriate protocol, we are confident that your experience with the Wild Yam Cream will be a positive one.
PREGNANCY
Many women have shared that they have used Anna’s while pregnant as the phytosterol nutrients within Anna’s trigger our body to produce all our own steroid hormones naturally, including progesterone often referred to as the ‘balancing’ hormone.
Progesterone is also the hormone which ‘holds’ the uterus and protects from miscarriage. However if you decide to use Anna’s while pregnant it is important you use 1/8 a teaspoon every morning and night without any breaks up until the 7th month by which time the body should be producing optimum amounts of progesterone and not need any precursors.
Women may also choose to begin using Anna’s immediately after birth as progesterone activity ceases when Baby is to be born to allow the uterus to ‘let go’. This sudden drop in progesterone can lead to post-partum depression in some new mothers.
POST-PARTUM
If a woman has just had a baby, she can use Anna’s immediately morning and night every day for around 4 months and then start to create a cycle for herself following the Menstrual Discomfort protocol.
When periods arrive as her hormones settle after the birth she would just continue with the Menstrual Discomfort protocol.
FERTILITY
The nutrients within Anna’s trigger our body to produce all our own steroid hormones naturally, including progesterone, often referred to as the ‘balancing’ hormone.
We suggest you follow the protocol for Menstrual Discomfort which can be found above.
We do not suggest you use manmade bio-identical progesterone or synthetic progestin while using Anna’s as these hormones will override the nutrients within Anna’s which are working to help with the production of all our steroid hormones not just progesterone.
